In cluttered, busy urban streets and tight rural roads, one of the biggest challenges faced by drivers is reversing.
Our Safety Solutions Reverse Radar Assistant system helps the driver with reversing manoeuvres. An in-cab display detects both people and other significant objects at the rear and alerts the driver with a visible and audible warning.
When the vehicle gets close to an obstacle – in the ‘red zone’ – the brakes are automatically applied and stop the vehicle from colliding with it. They are locked on for three seconds before being released.

At this point, if the same obstacle is still there, our RCV reverse radar system allows the driver to reverse with caution. Meanwhile, the display continues to signal that the obstacle is still there.
If the obstacle leaves the red zone and then returns or if something else enters the red zone during the same reversing manoeuvre, the brakes will re-apply.
By doing so, this RCV reverse radar system allows drivers to maintain control throughout but alerts them to obstacles and gives them time to take note of them so they can manoeuvre with appropriate caution.
The Reverse Radar Assistant is usually factory-fitted but we are also able to provide an Aftermarket retrofit option through our service network.
It comes with full Aftermarket support including timely maintenance, prompt repairs and fully stocked parts on our Electronic Parts Catalogue (EPC).
